The Maitland Blacks second and third grade's NHRU finals campaign continues this weekend at No.2 Sportsground in Newcastle.

The Blacks second grade team must win to stay alive when the meet Hamilton in Saturday’s minor semi-final from 1.35pm.
Maitland progressed to the second week of action with a 31-14 win against University in the elimination final.
The Blacks third grade has a double chance when it takes on minor premiers Wanderers in Sunday’s major semi-final from noon.
If the Blacks win they progress straight to the grand final. If they lose they have another chance in the preliminary final against the winner of the minor semi-final between Merewether Carlton and University.
In the first week of the finals, the Maitland thirds defeated Merewether Carlton 30-18 in the qualifying final.
The Lady Blacks bowed out of the finals race last week when they had a 20-5 loss their semi-final against Wanderers.
