The Queenslander will line up for the December 26 meet alongside other big names who accepted the invitation to compete.
“It was fantastic to start the Australian summer with a win at the QLD titles. Next meeting is at Kurri Kurri on Boxing Day. See ya there,” an elated Watt said in an Instagram post.
Spurred on after an early exit from Poole Pirates at the start of the 2016 British Speedway League, Watt set about proving his talent by joining Leicester Lions in the British Speedway League as well as Wroclaw in the Polish Speedway League and Lejonen in the Swedish Speedway League.
The 38-year-old last won the Queensland Speedway Solo Championship in 2005.

- Dave Watt
He claimed a bronze medal with Australia at the 2007 Speedway World Cup and a silver medal with Australia in the 2011 Speedway World Cup.
In the 2007 World Cup event, Watt was a team mate with Jason Crump, who will return to Kurri Kurri to race in the event named in his honour.
Three-time World Speedway champion Crump also rode in last year’s event, which was won by Pelaw Main rider Rohan Tungate.
Justin Sedgmen will head up a strong list of Victorian riders who have accepted an invitation to compete.
Sedgmen finished third in the recent 2016 NSW Speedway Solo Championship held at Kurri Kurri Speedway and is favoured to repeat that form.
Sixteen riders will compete in 20 four-lap qualifying heats, which will be followed by a four-rider sudden death B-final with the event culminating in a four-lap, four-rider A-final.
The 2016 Jason Crump Classic Cup will be supported by events for Junior 250cc solos and Junior 125cc solos.
Racing action starts at 6.30pm.
