Maitland’s finest riders take on the state’s best on their home track in round one of the NSW BMX State Series at Maitland/Tenambit BMX Club on Sunday.

A total of 568 entries have been received from all over the state, with riders also coming from the Japan, the ACT, Queensland, Victoria, for the series opener on the club’s recently upgrade track at the Beryl Humble Sporting Complex.
A strong Maitland contingent includes Lara-Jayne Haggarty, who won the 2017 13-14 girl cruiser title, Zara Monkley who won the 2017 nine-years girls series and Porschea Longbottom in the 8-10 girls cruisers.
On the male side of the draw the club has NSW No.1 plate holders Lachlan Moore and Harrison Davis firmly in the mix to take out their sections.
All up Maitland has 81 riders taking part in what promises to be an action-packed meeting.
Racing is scheduled to start at 10am on Sunday.
There will be drinks and food available at the club canteen on site.
