But, there is something amazing about having two or more bundles of joy arrive at once.
From Sunday, March 11 to Sunday, March 18, Multiple Birth Awareness Week will highlight the delights and difficulties for parents and families.
Every year, the Australian Multiple Birth Association (AMBA) announces a new theme for the celebration.
In 2018, AMBA has chosen Strength in Numbers as their mantra.
Multiple Birth Awareness Week has a few purposes, including hosting community awareness events and providing support for families and individuals.
“To AMBA, strength in numbers represents what the group is all about,” AMBA chairperson Ashlee Tenberge said.
“It’s about giving families with twins, triplets or more, strength by providing information and support.
“It's about connecting these families with a community of over 5000 other families of multiples so that they know they are not alone.”
Guiding two or more children through life stages at the same time can be very demanding on parents.
For more information about support for multiple birth families, find AMBA on Facebook.
