MPBC scored an upset 44-38 win against the reigning premiers and now sit on 16 points equal with the other Branxton team Royal Federal Hotel who were narrow 37-41 losers to Maitland Carpet Court.

The win by MPBC will be a major fillip to the young team’s confidence and gives them back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Royal had chances to win their game and will learn from the loss which leaves MCC (21 points) in third just a point by The George (22) in second. MCC did not receive a point after forfeiting last week’s game to The George.
Club Maitland City remain in fourth place and will be pleased with their hard-fought 43-33 win against an improving Maitland Blacks Tolsaf Cranes.
Hills Solicitors reasserted their favourite’s tag for the minor premiership with a comprehensive 82-33 win against bottom-side Hinton Hotel.
