The aim of the new program is to reach more schools throughout the region, teaching children about the value of community news and allowing them to show off their English studies skills in a practical manner.
After learning about the fundamentals of the profession, Lily Bevan and Emily Gent snapped photos and wrote a story each about the latest event to shock their grade – the movements of Elf on the Shelf.

The Elf
Lily Bevan
ONCE again the elf on-the-shelf has struck.
This time with toilet papering the class Christmas tree.
Not only by himself but with an accomplice or two.
On the scene 3A and 5/6L discovered the Grinch as well as the jumper of a possible accomplice.
Coincidence we think not!
“I didn’t know until Isaac came up to me with a worried face and said you need to see this,” a 5/6L student stated this morning.
Along with the Grinch and the elf on the scene, 5/6L also discovered a note from the Grinch saying “no Christmas trees allowed”.
All 5/6L students are stunned by these recent events and are still wondering where the elf got the toilet paper supply from.
But there is one thing that 5/6L are certain of – the elf is a danger to Christmas.
Bad elf and Grinch, maybe another accomplice, vandalise Christmas tree
Emily Gent
CLASS 5/6L and 3A got the shock of their lives this morning.
They felt the wrath of the classic Elf on the Shelf and the Grinch.
They mixed Christmas and Halloween as the tree felt the wrath of the toilet paper.
“The Elf on the Shelf wasn’t there yesterday,” Me and Lily Bevan said.
“The elf was next door (3A) until now. On Friday, it was on the wire towards the top of the room.
“On Monday and Tuesday, it was clinging on the fan and today, it was next to the toilet papered Christmas tree, along with Grinch and another possible accomplice, as we found a maroon jumper next to the elf.”
I was arriving to school, when three girls from 3A came and asked me to look at the tree and I had no idea of it at the time.
Then, Lily came to me and did the same thing. So I did, and I was utterly shocked at this obvious hygiene issue.
