Sport NSW announced the finalists this week and the speedway has made the list for the Community Club of the Year.
The NSW Community Sports Awards focus on community and grass roots sport, recognising the contributions largely carried out by a volunteer workforce.
The Community Club of the Year is awarded to a club for outstanding achievements and excellence in the nomination period.
"Our Club felt confident that it met the criteria for this award, so our executive Committee decided to nominate," club president, Peter Campton said.
"We are especially proud of the fact that more than 60 per cent of our club administrators and our qualified officials are women.
"We are also very proud of the fact that our club members have reached the highest level of achievement at world, international, national and state levels," he added.
Elements of the criteria taken into account for judging included: performance in competition by athletes; key events run during the period and a demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in terms of, club administration and participation of all people.
The winners of the awards will be revealed at a special ceremony in NSW Parliament House on June 20.
The presentation ceremony will be hosted by the NSW Minister for Sport.
