The 25-point blowout was was the Mustangs' worst loss to date - in their previous four losses this season the matches have almost invariably been nail-biting affairs, but not this time.
It also means the side has lost three of its last five matches, and have slipped to fifth on the ladder.
Next up they take on third-placed Sutherland Sharks in Maitland on June 15.
Terrell Turner led the scoring for Maitland with 15 points, while Isaiah Ellis was he only other person in double figures with 10.
While Maitland did a good job holding Manly guard Kev White to just seven points, his brother Steve led all scorers with 17.
Maitland's poor free throws (37 per cent) put them under further pressure.
The Maitland women also lost, going down to Manly 65-49.
