Maitland raised Sydney Swans star Isaac Heeney has shown deflecting pot shots from headline seeking former AFL players is as easy a back flip off a flying fox into a dam or taking mark of the year.

Former Port Adelaide player Kane Cornes captured headlines and the ire of former NRL heavyweight Mark Geyer for describing video posted by Heeney of doing a back flip and wakeboarding in a dam on his family farm as stupid and for putting his safety in jeopardy.
Heeney defended his actions saying enjoying himself helped his mental health.
"I've obviously got to look at the risk versus the reward," he told Nine News.
"I guess it's something where I've got enough experience and I know when I'm putting myself in danger and at that point in time I didn't feel like I was.
"I was having some fun and if I at all didn't feel like I was in control of the situation, I obviously wouldn't do it.
"For me, coming back here and the (best thing) for my mental health is to have a bit of fun with my family and that's what that included."
Keep it together Boyley
Maitland Mustangs coach Luke Boyle admits he is feeling more than a tad stir crazy on the weekends.
"I don't know what to do with myself. Every weekend since I was eight years old the weekend has been dominated by basketball," Boyle admitted this week.
Thankfully Boyle has been able to settle for one-on-one sessions with his son under the backyard ring and getting updates from his players on how they are going with their training to reduce his anxiety.
The stress on some other coaches including Sydney Swans mentor John Longmire is starting to show.
Young Mustangs show a trick or two
While their senior coach is suffering basketball withdrawals the Mustangs under-16 men's team have been putting in some serious trick shot training to varying degrees of success.
Well done boys for some entertaining razzle dazzle and some much needed video for Boyle to pour over. Keep up the good work.
Dimi yi yoh, Dimi yi yeh
Newcastle Jets Dimi and Kosta Petratos have become go to guys in the search for amusing posts to keep the COVID-19 self-isolation boredom at bay.
We have seen other versions of this but it is a beauty and leaves us asking the question which brother owns the wig?
The challenge is set. We'd love to see and share what you have come up with.
All contributions welcome to #it'sfuntoamakehorsesarseofyourself . Send your videos to michael.hartshorn@maitlandmercury.com.au or post them online on the Mercury Facebook page.
All videos must meet self-isolating and definitely good taste conditions.
Stand #UKnighted
For no other reason than it is a simply brilliant play on words, we present this greeting from Newcastle Knights players.
Hang in their Knights fans - two wins from two games and sitting second.
In the words of Jack Nicholson in his Oscar winning role of Melvin Udall: "What if this is as good as it gets?"
Well it certainly beats three wooden spoons in a row and is definitely a lot better than 2016's one win for the season.
And to keep the 2020 dream alive here's Darren Albert's try from the 1997 grand final and Gary Harley's call.
