We're talking the most popular babies for last year on the NSW Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages (BDM).
Oliver and Charlotte edged out Noah and Olivia to be 2019s most preferred names.
By comparison, a year earlier Oliver and Charlotte again ruled, but with William and Amelia the next most popular.
"Parents want their children to stand out and choosing a unique name is a big part of that," BDM Registrar Amanda Ianna said.
"We are seeing parents avoiding the common names of their own generation and looking instead at the names of their grandparents and great-grandparents for inspiration."
Names that were common in the 1980s like Rebecca, Amanda, David or Christopher have fallen completely out of fashion today. Meanwhile names like William, Jack, Ruby and Grace which were popular in the early 1900s before falling away, have recently returned to the top 100.
"Whether the influence comes from a book, movie, a royal event or to commemorate a favourite relative, your child will probably carry their name for life so it's important to choose wisely," Ms Ianna added.
Also released, the top baby suburbs for 2019 have revealed that Western Sydney continues to be the focus of population growth. Blacktown has come out on top for the seventh year in a row with 808 newborns, with Auburn, Bankstown, Merrylands and Liverpool consistently in the Top 10 suburbs.
Dubbo and Orange lead the way for regional NSW, finishing in sixth and ninth place respectively.
Rutherford was the only Maitland suburbs to crack the top 100, coming in at number 94 with 181 births registered.
