Only University, the Ants opponent from the past three grand finals, has scored against Aberglasslyn this season.
The Seahorses played out a thrilling 12-all draw with Maitland United at King Edward Park on Saturday. The result leaves Uni in fourth place on six points, just one point ahead of United in fifth.
Aberglasslyn's main rival Stroud had a 24-0 win against Raymond Terrace in the other game. Fingal Bay had the bye.
The Ants and second-placed Stroud meet in the match of the day at McKeachie's next Saturday, while Maitland United host Raymond Terrace.
Aberglasslyn jumped to top spot of the A-grade women's tackle competition with an 18-4 win against the previously unbeaten Berkeley Vale Panthers on Friday.
It was the Ants fourth win in a row and reversed the round three result when Berkley Vale defeated them 18-12
Maitland United collected their second win of the season defeating Dora Creek 20-10.
The Ants and United meet in a local derby at McKeachie's next Saturday.
Matthew Howden scored the first and last try of the day to ensure the Thornton Beresfield Bears unbeaten run continued with a 28-18 win against Fingal Bay Bomboras in A-grade action on Saturday.
Coach Pat Robards, Tylar Carter and Dan Killen also crossed for tries and Kyle Handford had his kicking boot on landing four of five conversions to stretch out the winning margin with Fingal Bay running in four tries to the Bears' five.
The A-grade competition is shaping up as a battle between the Bears and fellow unbeaten team Dora Creek who collected their sixth win of the season via a forfeit by Western Suburbs on Saturday.
The Bear and Swampies do not meet until the final round of the home and away competition on September 26.
Thornton Beresfield host West Wallsend and Dora Creek have University at home next week.
In the B-grade men's competition, Aberglasslyn returned to the winner's circle with a 34-16 win against Wallsend, while Maitland United forfeited to Waratah Mayfield Cheetahs.
The Ants' third win of the season lift them to fourth place on the B-grade ladder, while United are last with just the one win.
In next week's B-grade men's matches Maitland United host Dudley Magpies and Aberglasslyn travel to take on Mallubula Panthers.
Dungog lost a thriller by two points against the top of the table Budgewoi Bulldogs at Bennett Park on Saturday.
The 22-24 loss leaves the Warriors in fifth place on the C-grade ladder and they have a tough test again travelling to take on second-placed Swansea next week.
Dungog's B-grade LLT side maintained second on the ladder with a 36-22 win against Swansea. They are on the road in the match of the round against top of the table Shortland next week.
