CMC clinched the title one round before finals with a 61-19 win against Flames as Customs House Hotel defeat The George 43-37.
NVY Comets have jumped into second place, three points behind CMC, courtesy of a 61-53 win over Quarry Bar and Grill.
Comets and CMC clash in the final round and although a Comets' win will leave them on equal points, CMC have an unassailable 62 goal for and against difference advantage and the minor premiership title is in their keeping.
Hills Solicitors firmed up their form ahead of the finals with a 48-38 win against EMNC Brazen Fitness.
Last year's beaten grand finalist will finish fourth and meet third in the elimination final on August 21.
The final round next Saturday will decide the top three finishing order.
The George face Brazen Fitness and can finish second with victory, a loss would deliver Comets second place and the double chance along with CMC.
The major semi-final between first and second is on August 14.
The preliminary final between the loser of the major semi and elimination final is on August 27 and the grand final is on September 3.
