Auditions will soon be held for Talent at Tocal - a paid gig at the upcoming Tocal Field Days. Successful performers will be paid commercial rates for their performance at the event.
Event manager Charise Foulstone said it was another way the event could give back to the community.
"We want to give talented young people real music industry experience in front of a real audience," she said.
"We're calling for applications to audition later this month from Hunter and Central Coast school students, aged 10 and over, who sing, play an instrument or both.
"Performances need to be in keeping with a family-oriented rural community event, but they don't have to be strictly country music."
Auditions will be held on February 23 and March 5 at Tocal Agricultural Centre. Click here for an application form.
