The situation is fast becoming farcical for the Bulldogs who were forced to postpone last week's season opener against Lakes United at Kurri Sportsground and have been struggling to train on their ground for the past six weeks.
The Bulldogs met on Wednesday night about the state of the ground and will be seeking council support in finding alternate facilities to train at and long-term help in reducing the water-logging of the playing surface.
"We didn't have a trial and we didn't play first round so we're flying a bit blind, but the comradery is still good and everyone's on the same page," Kurri coach Aaron Watts said.
"We will make a call on Friday on whether the ground will be OK to play on but it would need to improve a lot.
"As far as the playing group we are just concentrating on the things we can control and they have been really good. Apart from Ethan Parry, who is still a couple of weeks away, we have a fully fit squad to choose from.
The second-round fixture between Wyong and Central was officially canned on Wednesday morning with the Roos' ground Morry Breen Oval deemed unfit for play.
Kurri was one of four teams sidelined in round one, joined by Lakes, Macquarie and Souths.
No dates have yet been confirmed for catch-up games, but there are two breaks in this year's draw - May 14-15 (representative weekend) and July 23-24.
