Elliott, then 14, won the women’s 50 and 100 metre freestyle events in the S8 section of the IPC Swimming World Championships in Montreal.
Elliott, who has cerebral palsy, upstaged multiple Paralympic and world title holder Jessica Long in the 100m race and went within 0.03 seconds of her own world record in the 50m decider.
The Bishop Tyrell Anglican College student also scored a silver in 400m freestyle earlier in the championships.
