The Saints went down by 21 points to Lake Macquarie under lights on Saturday night.
The Dockers are finding their feet again in Division One after dropping back
from the Black Diamond Cup at the end of April.
Captain Rob Eddy continued his good form up front kicking three goals, with Josh Button chipping in with two.
The Saints were in the contest until the Dockers eased away with a four-goal final term.
The Saints now are in sixth position, a game behind Warners Bay.
The Division Two team fell short by a goal to The Entrance Bateau Bay losing 6.5 (41) to 7.5 (47).
Both Maitland sides are at home against Cardiff on Saturday, with Division Two kicking off at noon.
