Ten teams were split into pools of five, with each school playing four round games.
East Maitland and St John the Baptist, Maitland, finished second in their respective groups after winning three matches each.
The local representatives were beaten by Anna Bay and Holy Family, Merewether, respectively.
Anna Bay then defeated Merewether 6-2 in the decider and advanced to the state finals, to be held in Sydney in June.
Hunter Valley Grammar and Edgeworth were also part of proceedings in Lorn.
The gala day was played at the home ground of the Maitland Blacks after originally being scheduled for Waratah Oval. Wet weather forced the transfer.
