The Maitland schoolgirl was lined up backstage at the Taylor Swift concert moments away from coming face-to-face with her idol when the tears began.
"I quickly saw her behind a curtain and I was speechless," Jorja said.
"I didn't think it was real, it was just amazing."
When Jorja got to the front of the line she ran into Swift's outstretched arms and the moment could not have been better.
"It was amazing," she said.
"I've touched her, I've seen her, I know who she is."
The meeting was a the culmination of a whirlwind month for Jorja and her entire family.
It started when Jorja was diagnosed with a condition that causes progressive, inner-ear hearing loss.
At the age of 12 she was told that one day she would go deaf and the first thing she said when she got the prognosis was: "I won't be able to hear Taylor Swift sing."
Through the help of family, friends and the community Jorja was surprised with tickets to Swift's Sydney concert, which was on at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.
Twin sister Chloe wanted to go one better and launched the social media campaign #HelpJorjaMeetTaylorSwiftSydney
"I wanted to do something for my sister," Chloe said.
"She is Taylor Swift's biggest fan."
The campaign went viral as people from across the world were touched by the story of sisterly love.
Eventually, Sydney radio station Nova 96.9 stepped in to get Jorja a meet and greet with Swift and announced it to the twins live on air.
The moment came to fruition on Saturday night and the Maitland community came together to make the experience magical.
The twins were treated to hair, make-up, new dresses, perfume and even driven in a limousine to the concert.
Joja said there were not enough ways to thanks all of the people involved in making her Taylor Swift moment happen.
Jorja and her mother Melissa Hope were escorted backstage to meet Swift.
"She was very, very amazing and very pretty," Jorja said.
"I didn't expect her to be as tall as she was."
The girls took the pop star a gift - Mortels ugg boots from Thornton.
"She was very excited, she said she loved ugg boots" Jojra said.
"She was just so nice."
After the photo opportunity the twins enjoyed prime seats for the ANZ Stadium show with the 76,000-strong crowd.
"It was very, very fun, we danced all night," Jorja said.
If that was not enough excitement for the Hope family, the story was picked up by Weekend Today, the Channel Nine breakfast show, and the twins appeared in a live segment on Sunday morning.
"I am overwhelmed by the support," mother Melissa said.
"No words could ever thank each and every person that has shared, liked, tweeted or sent messages enough.
"You are all showing Jorja how much love and support she has around her."
