Maitland Police officer in charge Chief Inspector Glenn Blain said Coffee with a Cop was an opportunity for community members to speak with senior police in a non-confrontational environment.
“It’s a chance to ask questions and get to know the officers in the district,” he said.
Inspector Blain along with Port-Stephens Hunter commander Detective Superintendent Craig Jackson and other senior police will be at the event.
Coffee with a Cop started in the Western Sydney suburb of Fairfield in 2012 before it was launched in Maitland last year.
The event will be held from 9.30am on May 8 and is open to the public.
