Ten bikies from the warring Nomads and Finks gangs will have their day-to-day lives severely restricted for one year after a NSW judge found the public was at risk from their ongoing violence.

But Justice David Davies rejected two conditions proposed by NSW police - that the bikies be banned from entering any licensed premises and be restricted in their computer use.
Police sought the Serious Crime Prevention Orders in an attempt to end what they say is a violent turf war between the two Outlaw Motor Cycle Gangs (OMCG) in the Hunter region.
"I am satisfied that the safety of members of the public is being put at risk by the ongoing violence between members of the two OMCGs," the judge said in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday.
He was told of the escalating incidents between the rival gangs including motorcycles being rammed off the road, assaults, firebombings, drive-by shootings and attacks on family members.
The 10 bikies are Nomads James Kenneth Quinnell, Bradley Bowtell, Dylan Patrick Brittliffe, Blake Kevin Martin and Kane Benjamin Tamplin; and Finks Mitchell Alexander Cole, Benjamin James Main, Andrew Robert Manners, Matthew Francis Maybury and Troy Vanderlight.
The orders restrict them from associating with any OMCG member, travelling in a vehicle between 9pm and 6am except in a medical emergency and attending any premises suspected to be resided in or frequented by a gang member.
They cannot wear or display any OMCG patch or other gang merchandise, use encrypted messaging services, such as WhatsApp, or have more than one mobile phone and must tell police their number.
The travel ban does not apply to four Nomads when they were working night shifts and the association ban does not apply to a Nomad with a father in the club.
The judge was satisfied that both clubs were "a criminal group" within the meaning of the Crimes Act and that at least one of their objectives was the commission of serious violent offences.
"I accept the commissioner's submission that the most effective way of restricting or disrupting involvement of the defendants in serious crime-related activities is to prevent them associating with one another and from contacting one another," he said.
