The employees were recognised at The Mai-Wel Group’s annual Supported Employee Anniversary Awards Presentation at Easts Leisure and Golf Club.
The recipients work for Mai-Wel Enterprises which provides employment for people with disabilities in production, assembly and service.
Outgoing Mai-Wel CEO Pennie Kearney said the awards were a highlight of the year.
“The recipients of the awards are those who were here when I first joined Mai-Wel,” she said. “Not only did they make me feel very welcome but they taught me so much.
“They showed me the strength and resilience of people with a disability and about the exceptional work ethic they hold.
“Most importantly they taught me about the ability of people with a disability, about true commitment too and the value they place in their job at Mai-Wel.
“I am delighted to celebrate these great achievements. Supported employees who work at Mai-Wel Enterprises really are the backbone of Mai-Wel.
“These men and women have kept the wheels of Mai-Wel Enterprises turning over so many years and for that I say thank you.”
