Maitland will face their own modus operandi when they return home to Cooks Square Park for the first time this season to host Adamstown on Saturday.
"Fans are going to be treated to some high-quality, high-tempo attacking footy," Magpies assistant coach Gavin Wolfe said ahead of Saturday's showdown on what should be a pristine Cooks Square Park pitch.
"Adamstown have very much focused on youth development and a young team with a couple of more experienced players in there and their line-up this year is no different.
"We expect them to come out of the blocks really quick and maintain that level of speed, fitness and intensity for the full 90 minutes.
"They like to push the ball around and they're quick and that's exactly the style of football we like to play.
"We are going to set up our systems and structures and rely on them, be consistent throughout the game and rely on after 25-30 minutes for the Adamstown guys to start to be broken down a little bit through our ball movement and our experience."
The Magpies rediscovered their mojo with a 2-0 win against Edgeworth last Saturday, moving the ball faster to break down the Edgeworth defence and maintaining the tempo to the last minute.
Ty Cousins started the scoring in style with a mid-air volley off a superb Jimmy Thompson cross in the 52nd minute.
Co-skipper Braedyn Crowley scored the second in the 94th minute.
A defensive header turned attacking ball set up an attacking raid by Crowley and Alex Read who found themselves against one defender and the goalkeeper Josh Owen.
Crowley took the ball and struck it sweetly through Owen's legs putting behind the frustration of a couple of missed opportunities earlier in the game.
"It was good to score a couple of goals after the 0-all draw against Cooks Hill. It was a really good finish from Ty to open the scoring in the second half," Wolfe said.
"We stayed in the game and played it through and were running to the end and Braedyn got the goal as reward in the the 94th minute."
Wolfe was also delighted with the defensive effort, particularly from centre-back pairing Will McFarlane and Zach Thomas.
"The defence were rock solid, they were very impressive back there on Saturday night. Will McFarlane and Zach Thomas were massive for us in the middle of the park," he said.
Wolfe said they were hoping for a big crowd at the game with kick off in the main game at 5pm.
"The boys are really keen to get on the pitch on Saturday night," he said. "It's been closed for the best part of a month for council work and it's looking a picture."
Action starts with the Under-18s at 1.15pm and reserve grade at 3pm.
Reserve grade had a 2-1 win against Edgeworth and the Under-18s had 1-all draw.
Maitland's Ty Cousins, Jimmy Thompson, Adam Blunden and Paul Blitz made the NPLM team of the week.
