Brianna Ritchie is the Pickerettes head coach and team manager and she has places for 20 young girls and women ranging in age from 11 to 18 years.
Dancers and cheerleaders from beginners to advanced will be eligible to audition.
This year’s team will be bigger than in previous seasons because of demand from young girls keen to cheer for the Pickers.
The Pickerettes was formed by Courtney Turton three years ago but she has decided to hand over the head coaching role because of competitive cheerleading commitments.
“We start fresh every year and we look for potential new Pickerettes,” Mrs Turton said.
“They will be required to perform at all Pickers home games, finals, the grand final, functions and fund-raisers.
“We will be looking for girls and young women who love to dance and cheer and who love their football.”
Auditions will be held at Francis Greenway High School on Thursday, February 28 at 7.30pm. Training sessions will be held weekly in the pre-season and then once a fortnight.
Anyone who would like to audition is asked to call Miss Ritchie on 0413 573400.
