The 16-year-old, who plays with Northern Suburbs in Maitland cricket, has top scored in both games opening the batting for his side.
Fort scored 70 off 93 balls, including five fours and three sixes, to get ACT/NSW Country off to a solid start as they posted 8/279 from their 50 overs against a powerful South Australian team who managed to beat the total with just a ball to spare.
The youngster backed up yesterday against the Northern Territory to set up ACT/NSW Country’s five wicket win in the 31st over.
Fort was in scintillating form scoring 70 off just 53 balls, including seven fours and four sixes, in ACT/NSW Country’s total of 5/180.
ACT/NSW Country play Vic Metro on Thursday, before games against the Cricket Australia XI on Friday and and Tasmania on Sunday before the finals.
