In a huge F3 derby trial match, last year’s Hyundai A-League grand finalists the Jets will take on the Mariners at Maitland No.1 Sportsground on Saturday, August 25.
Maitland City Council has been keen to attract top drawer sport to the revamped Sportsground, and mayor Loretta Baker is understandably thrilled at the news.
“Sporting events like this one are so important because they provide us with the opportunity to showcase our amazing sport loving city on a much bigger scale,” she said.
“In this case we also have the chance to show off the diversity of the redeveloped No.1 Sportsground which is an added bonus.
“I applaud both the Jets and the Mariners for getting behind this and congratulations to Council staff and everyone involved for making it happen. I know that football means a lot to the Maitland community so I’m confident this match will be enjoyed by many locals and visitors alike.”
Ticket prices for grandstand seats are $15, GA age 13+ are $10, GA age between 5-12 are $5 and GA under 5 are free. They will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Monday 30 July.
