Maitland councillors will this week vote on the new installations which will feature at city gateways and across several suburbs.
A report to Tuesday night’s council meeting said that following the adoption of Brand Maitland in 2012, the Brand Maitland Signage Approach began development the following year.
The report said council officers carried out wide ranging consultation with stakeholders including the review of proposed sites. Council officers have been working with both internal and external stakeholders including Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) on issues such as site suitability, risk requirements, sight aspects and manufacturing options.
