This year Maitland Rugby Club has been nominated for NSW Rugby Club of the Year and the junior club president and all round Mr Maitland Rugby, Dan Leadley has been nominated for Youth Volunteer of the year.
On top of his duties as junior club president Leadley oversaw the massive effort to resurface the fields at Marcellin Park.
“There are many cogs to the wheel and links to the chain and way too many people to list who provide the Maitland Rugby family with an organisation to be proud of and a facility to behold,” senior club president Pat Howard said.
“A lot of work has led to the junior and senior clubs becoming a force together and this has led to the success we are enjoying both on and off the field. Dan Leadley’s successful nomination is much deserved.”
The winners will be announced on September 20.
