Local young skaters and scooter enthusiasts visited the Hillview Street park which included skating demonstrations, interactive street art, free barbecue and DJ.
Council’s Recreation and community Planning Coordinator Emily Livens said at least 50 young people visited the skate park despite the rainy
“It actually picked up a lot in the afternoon. The young people really seemed to like it,” Ms Livens said.
“Everyone got involved in the activities and have been really enthusiastic about the event.
“We will definitely run it again. The feedback is they want to see more of these kind of events happen across the city.”
