It’s been five years since the Pourhouse served its first schooner – and naturally it’s celebrating with a few beers.

Operations manager Benn Giles said the birthday event, fittingly titled Five Years of Rad Beers, will run from 2pm til 7pm on Saturday at the High Street pub.
“We are celebrating five years of the Pourhouse being open in Maitland,” he said.
“It’s going to be great. We have live entertainment with two bands lined up … we’ve even got a birthday cake donated by the The Cunning Culinarian.
“It’s a ticketed event, and people can buy tickets through our Facebook page. The ticket includes entry, a few beers and canapes.”
There will be no chance of going hungry with vendors serving Texas-style BBQ, Pork from the Spit and South American Soul Food.
“Maitland has really started to support us, and we plan to be here as long as we can be,” Mr Giles said.
