A phone and charger were taken from an unlocked car at one motel between 8pm Saturday and 8am Sunday.
A driver’s licence, MP4 player, speaker and credit card were taken from a vehicle at another motel about 1am Sunday. The credit card was later used to make a fraudulent purchase via Paywave.
It comes after cars and rooms were targeted at a third Rutherford motel back in December.
Police used the incident to again remind drivers to always lock their vehicles and remove valuables.
“In most of these incidents, criminals are just going up and trying door handles until they find one open,” Maitland police officer in charge Chief Inspector Glenn Blain said.
Information that may assist police inquiries should be passed on to Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000.
