The free concert at Maitland Town Hall will be held from 12pm to 3pm on Thursday, February 21.
Council’s community and recreation manger Laurie D’Angelo said council was excited to invite the band back to Maitland for the eighth year.
“It has been a very popular concert in previous years with many people wanting to attend,” she said.
“We’re also continuing with the ballot approach this year so we can make sure we are allocating tickets in a fair manner. We encourage people to contact council to put their name down.”
Maitland Council will be making 280 tickets available to the community for the concert, with names collected until February 4 and will be drawn at random by the Seniors Festival Reference Group on February 5.
“In addition to the Lonnie Lee and the Leemen Concert, Council will be releasing a Seniors Festival Program of events,” Ms D’Angelo said.
“This program will provide information on other activities on offer in the community during Seniors Festival.”
The event, which will run from February 13 to 24, is being run by council in partnership with the Seniors Festival Reference Group and a light lunch, cake and beverages will be provided.
The theme for celebrations is ‘Love Your Life’.
