An office at the Bowden Way construction site was rummaged through between 5.30pm on Wednesday and 6.30am Thursday and a USB, magnifying glass and other stationary were taken from the premises.
The following afternoon, an Epipen was stolen during a school holiday break-in at the Linuwel School at Morpeth.
Sometime between 4pm and 10pm the alarm became activated when someone entered a classroom at the Morpeth Road school and took the medical device from a first aid kit.
A pair of running shoes were left at the scene, which police have seized for forensic examination.
Police said the planned to review CCTV footage as well.
