A man has been charged over an alleged drunken rampage in which a police officer was bitten, another man was assaulted and a woman was threatened.

The 63-year-old man was granted bail in court in relation to the Saturday night incidents.
It all started when an altercation broke out at a Sirius Street, Rutherford address about 10pm. A 58-year-old man was punched in the face, causing a cut above his eye and holes were also punched in the walls.
The 63-year-old man then left the premises, but a short time later damage was caused to two homes in Walter Street.
A female resident heard the commotion and yelled out. Police allege a man then approached the woman's home and threatened her before ripping off a screen door.
Police said the woman believed the man was going to smash open a glass door, so she armed herself with a doorstop and a shovel, which she used to stop the man.
She called police, who rushed to the scene and arrested the man. But it is alleged that after police handcuffed him, he bit one of the officers.
The 63-year-old was charged with malicious damage, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated break and enter, intimidation and assaulting police.
