Time is running out to receive for eligible vehicle owners to receive their CTP green slip refund.
According to Service NSW, "the NSW Government has reformed the compulsory third party (CTP) insurance scheme to reduce the costs of CTP green slips for vehicle owners, and better support people injured on our roads".
If you were the registered owner of a private vehicle, not including motorcycles, before December 2017, you may be eligible for a refund of part of your 2017 CTP Green Slip.
If you haven't taken advantage of the refund, you may have some lingering questions, as outlined below.
How do you claim?
To claim, you'll need a MyServiceNSW Account and to provide your banking details.
How do you know if you're eligible for a refund?
To be eligible, your CTP insurance policy must have a start date before December 1, 2017.
Your eligibility and refund amount will vary depending on your type of vehicle, excludes motorcycles; and the location of your vehicle.
Refunds range between $10 and $120.
How long do you have to claim?
The last day to claim your refund is June 30, 2019. Get in quickly to avoid disappointment.
