The youth counselling and support service is running a photography competition for people aged between 18 and 25 with $500 up for grabs to be shared between three winners.
The winners' work will be displayed in the headspace centre.
headspace Maitland community awareness and engagement officer Liz Murphy-May said the theme of the initiative was "anything that speaks to Maitland". Entries could display an iconic location in the city, a fun activity or a picturesque landscape.
Ms Murphy-May said the idea behind the competition was to engage with the older youth demographic, who currently only make up 15 per cent of the service's client group.
To enter the photography competition, email headspacemaitland@samaritans.org.au and request and application form.
Entries close June 21 and the winners will be announced on the headspace Maitland Facebook page on June 28. For more details call the centre on 4931 1000.
