The bridge was stage three of the four stage project.
The design of the remaining stages for the full length of the cycleway is now complete and Stage one path construction works are currently underway.
Stage one will involve the extension of the existing concrete cycleway from James Leslie Drive to Dagworth Road.
Preliminary works such as tree removal will be begin on stage two (Dagworth Road to Fishery Creek) and stage four (Fishery Creek to New England Highway) shortly.
It is hoped the community will be able to use the completed cycleway by the end of the year.
