The annual multicultural festival will transform The Levee into a colourful celebration of culture through music, dance, arts and food.
A partnership will support our community's rich diversity, with 2019 marking the second year of Greater Bank's backing as naming rights sponsor of the event.
Council's Acting Events Coordinator Portia Wendt said the organisation was 'pleased to be able to partner with Greater Bank as naming rights sponsor for the second year running'.
"Their support of the festival assists us in creating an inclusive cultural experience for both locals and visitors alike," she said.
"Once again, we will have a huge program of activities on offer, with demonstrations, performances and workshops adding to the celebrations.
"The cultural villages will feature food tasting, traditional games and arts, in addition to the spectacular dance and music program which will take place across two stages throughout the event before the lantern flotilla and spectacular finale on the Hunter River."
The heart of the festival will be the cultural Villages which will offer free interactive experiences, delicious food sampling and arts and crafts for sale.
Greater Bank's Regional Sales Manager Jen Smith added that Greater Bank is delighted to continue its support of one of the region's most significant cultural events.
'Our sponsorship of this year's festival will run deeper than a financial contribution," Ms Smith said.
"A team of Greater Bank staff will lend their support to the event by volunteering on the day, while in the lead up staff from our Greenhills branch will be attending children's lantern-making workshops that will be conducted at local libraries during the school holidays.
'We are proud to support the community that supports us, and what better way to show our appreciation than by continuing to support such a vivid cultural celebration that shines the spotlight on the magic of Maitland."
