Maitland Repertory Theatre has postponed its 2020 season until further notice following restrictions placed on indoor gatherings as a result of the Corona Virus.
The cast and crew of the theatre's next play, Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, have been working hard on the production and a repertory spokesperson said the theatre's audience had been looking forward to this classic.
"We hope to be able to schedule it later this year," the spokesperson said.
"For our 2020 Season Ticket holders, we'll be contacting them with options once the situation becomes clearer.
"On a positive note, we're planning to spend some of this downtime on maintenance to our historic theatre.
"Stay tuned to our Facebook, emails and website and we'll keep you posted once we know when we can recommence operations and reschedule performances," the spokesperson said.
