It could lead to a fully paid-for $5000 spending spree.
On Saturday it's the annual Levee One Day Sale with special offers from more than 50 stores across The Levee Precinct.
Specials on the day include discounts up to 60 per cent, value added offers and a range of clearance bargains.
But the big news is that if you spend $20 in a single purchase in any of the participating stores, you'll not just be supporting local business, you'll also go in to the draw to win a $5000 shopping spree.
To enter all you'll have to do is fill in an entry form and place it in the entry box at The Riverlink, Riverside Plaza or Pender Place. The winner will be drawn and notified on Monday, June 29.
"People are getting out and about again, so it's fantastic that businesses at The Levee are offering some great deals to shoppers right now," The Levee Public Programs Officer David Graham said.
"You can grab a bargain and then stay for a coffee or lunch at one of the cafés or restaurants that also have great offers."
Participating stores on the day will be displaying offer posters and little red flags in the shop windows. If you want to plan in advance, download the offer booklet at theleveemaitland.com.au
Daniel Walters of Comics Games Entertainment is trying not to get his hopes too high after a tough period for traders.
"The One Day Sale is usually a pretty good weekend for us, but I don't want to get ahead of myself," he said.
"We stayed open during the pandemic but it was quiet, so I'm hoping history repeats itself.
"A $5000 spending spree is a good reason to spend $20 though."
Shops will open their doors from 9am with the sale wrapping up at 3pm.
It is important for shoppers to maintain social distancing in stores and adhere to maximum capacities where applicable.
