Changed traffic conditions will be in place on the Hunter Expressway from Monday as maintenance work is carried out on the Kurri Kurri interchange.

The work includes bridge inspections, sweeping the bridge deck, removing vegetation and joint maintenance.
To minimise impact on motorists, work will be carried out from Monday to Thursday from 7pm and 5am and is expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Lane closures and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place during work hours and may impact travel times.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Meanwhile, the expressway was closed for several hours on Monday morning after a beer truck rolled over near the Buchanan interchange.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle and suffered severe chest and head injuries, He was treated at the scene before being taken to John Hunter Hospital. Read more here.
