According to the Bureau of Meteorology the region is set for a week of showers and some heavy rain starting on Friday (November 5) and continuing on and off for several days.
Some forecasters have flagged an eight-day drenching for some parts of the state with thunderstorms, flash flooding and heavy rainfall forecast across NSW well into next week.

For the Hunter, Sunday is forecast to be the worst day weather-wise with a 90 per cent chance of 10 to 20mm of rain.
As far as temperatures are concerned Friday will have a forecast top of 24 degrees, Saturday 26, Sunday 28, Monday 27 and Tuesday 28.
