Maitland City Council is calling on locals to share their knowledge on the endangered Lower Hunter Spotted Gum Ironbark Forest to help prevent future extinction.
Council received a $100,000 grant from the NSW Environmental Trust to undertake a project to protect and enhance the endangered Lower Hunter Spotted Gum Ironbark Forest at three Maitland reserves.
Complete the council survey will allow you to share what you know and help council understand what the local knowledge is on Endangered Ecological Communities in the Maitland area.
They are hoping this will reduce the risk of impact on the environment and highlight the importance of protecting the endangered Lower Hunter Spotted Gum Ironbark Forest from extinction.
Participate in the survey by May 28, 2019, to have your thoughts considered.
