Exciting, mysterious and intriguing is how the night is being pitched with The Levee set to be transformed to celebrate the longest night of the year.
Place activation officer Charlotte Hilder said they were expecting between 3000 and 4000 for the inaugural initiative on Saturday.
"We don't want to give too much away because it's meant to be intriguing and mysterious. It's going to be very moody with lots of fire," she said.
"There's often not a lot on during winter so it's about getting people out at The Levee."
The fun will kick off at 5pm and include fire performers, a range of delicious food options and onsite entertainment.
"We want people to come at 5pm so they don't miss out on any of the fun," Ms Hilder added.
After Dark - Winter Solstice will finish with a fireworks display at 8.30pm.
