Eight-week-old dingo puppies Inka and Kit will be making their debut with a meet and greet pop-up beginning this week.
Zookeeper Sally Smith said people would be able to get up close and personal with the adorable brother and sister pups - might even be able to enjoy a few cuddles. "We got them about a week ago. They'll be introduced to our male and then they will come a family. We have started our encounter pop-up so people will get the chance for a cuddle," she said.
The winter blues haven't hit the animal with their very own heat lamps and pads installed in their enclosures.
"Winter is also great for having an encountered with the meerkats because they just want to snuggle up to you," Ms Smith added.
Hunter Valley Zoo runs a number of educational programs for schools and encounters with a range of exotic and native animals.
The zoo is open Thursday to Tuesday from 9am to 4pm, and open every day during the school holidays.
