The craft beer festival will see more than 20 brewers serving up over 100 craft beers over the weekend.
The selection of brewers include Dusty Miner Craft Brewery, Maltnhops Brewing, Six String Brewing Co and Hunter Beer Co, as well as Newcastle's Foghorn Brewhouse.
Hunter Beer Company's head brewer Keith Grice said it was his favourite local beer festival.
"The festival has changed oodles over the years. It gives people who may not ordinarily try craft beer the chance to have a taste," he said.

"We have six taps. We've done a tweak on our regular alcoholic ginger beer - we've added a tiny bit of chilli.
"Then we will have a tap of mystery which will change throughout the day, so if people visit us multiple times they will be able to try a number of different beers."
Modus Operandi, Young Henry's, Nomad Brewing Co, Akasha Brewing Co, Sydney Brewery and New Zealand export Yeastie Boys will also be back.
The festival will also welcome first time brewers Yulli's Brews, Green Beacon Brewing, Colonial Brewing and Pioneer Brewing Co.
Newcastle based duo Boo Seeka will be joined by Bullhorn, Kookshill, The Long Johns and Rubix Cuba on Saturday.
On Sunday, indie rock Brisbane based headliners Custard will perform alongside The Hi-Boys, Burger Joint and local artist Lili Crane.
