And that is exactly what happened when Taylor gave birth to her beautiful baby girl, Bonnie Lee Ross at Maitland Hospital in the early hours of Saturday, February 29.
"It's really funny actually, I had this massive gut feeling she was going to come that day," Taylor said.
"My first born was two days overdue, but when I realised my due date this time was going to be close to the leap year I just had a feeling."
Taylor said Bonnie's father also had a strange inkling that she would arrive on the 29th of February but said the rest of her family were "pretty shocked" when Bonnie was born on that date.
"Everyone was just like 'wow'," Taylor said.
The Aberdare mum said at first, she didn't really like the idea of her child only having an official birthday once every four years, but now thinks "it's kind of cool".
"I'm thinking we'll celebrate her birthday on the 28th each year, but I've already fast forwarded to when she's 18 and realised she'll have to wait until the first of March if she wants to go out to celebrate," Taylor said.
Taylor says that she and baby Bonnie have since been allowed to return home from hospital and are both "doing really well".
Bonnie arrived at 4.11am and weighed a healthy eight pounds, 12 ounces.
