Each Street Eats will include a program of live music with free entry and ticketing currently not required.
The first get together kicks off this coming Sunday, January 10 from midday to 3pm at Queens Wharf, Morpeth, where Aqua Hire will also be available on the day.
"We're hoping this will be a great way to get the community together in suburbs across the city in a COVID Safe way," Council's Senior Place Activation Officer Portia Wendt said.
"For the Make it Maitland this summer program, we've included more Street Eats than usual and in more locations."
More Street Eats will follow at Anzac Park in East Maitland on January 15 where at the same time Maitland Gaol is holding a one off experience to explore the secrets of the Gaol at night, Woodberry Playground on February 5 and Norm Chapman Oval in Rutherford on February 26.
The normal programming for Street Eats will then continue across the city right up until June.
A comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan will be in place for all Council run events and activities.
Council will continue to monitor and adhere to the advice from the Federal and State Governments, including any variation or modification of the public health orders.
Street Eats is a Maitland City Council Place Activation initiative, and additional dates and locations will be announced soon.
