Street Eats is back this Sunday for a special event at Telarah Lagoon from 11am to 3pm to celebrate Rotary's 100 Years of Service in Australia. Enjoy delicious food from the Rotary Food Truck, Bonjani Woodfired Pizza, Rafas truck, CHOUX Patisserie, LuLu's Gelato Company and Southern Smoked with our local Rotary Clubs members from Maitland as they plant 100 trees to commemorate this significant milestone.

Live at The Levee
This Friday, grab a bite to eat and watch The Hedonists light up The Riverlink building from 6pm to 8.30pm. The Hedonists are three mates who have been playing music together for over nine years. The music is quirky, loud and all about maximising fun at no one's expense. They released their debut album, Terrible Things, in 2015.
Free Art By the River
With the last day this Friday, it's a great chance to get the kids out for some fresh air and get creative with Free Art by The River. Join the friendly art tutors who will guide your young ones through a fun and easy activity producing an artwork you can take home. The free classes are running Friday 16 April from 11am to 12pm and 1pm to 2pm at the Bourke Street Link, The Levee Central Maitland.

Mega creatures night safari at Hunter Valley Gardens
Until April 25
Hunter Valley Gardens are once again providing family entertainment during the school holidays with their annual Mega Creatures display, with an added Mega Creatures Night Safari to be held this year from March 27 March to April 25.
This year there's also dragons, an erupting 3-metre-high volcano that lights up the night and for all the arachnophobes, there's a walk-through spider tunnel to test your nerves. There will also be a walking dinosaur roaring and roaming the grounds from 6:30pm - 9:30pm.
Mega Creatures will be open every day from 9am - 4:30pm, then 6pm - 10:30pm for the Night Safari from 27th March - 25th April.

Autumn in The Levee

Celebrating creativity and the unusual, The Levee will be awash with colour and music in autumn for the Changing Colours program.
From March 12 to May 21, The Riverlink will host Staging Colours, featuring free performances every Friday night. Free Art by the River, is a fun art class running weekdays from Tuesday, April 6 until Friday 16 April at the Bourke Street Link..
Pop up rollerskate rink at Stockland Green Hills
April 12-18

Stockland Green Hills will be offering customers a pop-up roller skating rink from Monday 12 April to Sunday 18 April from 10am daily. The retro disco and modern pop-themed rink will even feature a live DJ who will be setting the mood for the fun. It's free to skate, but bookings will be essential (this can be done online on the Stockland Green Hills website). Suitable for children aged 3+.

The popular festival runs from 2pm on Friday, April 16, to noon on Sunday, April 18.

Tocal Field Days are back
April 30 May 2
The three-day event will be held at Tocal Agricultural Centre from Friday, April 30 to Sunday, May 2.
Tickets are now on sale at tocalfielddays.com or they can be bought at the gate. Daily tickets are $18 for adults, $2 for kids aged five to 16.
Children under five have free entry.
Camping, caravan, 4WD, fishing show
Daredevil bike riders and a travelling fishing show will be two of the highlights at the Hunter Valley Caravan, Camping, 4WD, Fish and Boat Show which will be held at Maitland Showground next month.
The three-day event has been hugely successful for many years and part of this success is it's family focus and the many new and different offerings on show for those who love exploring the great outdoors.
The event, set down for May 21, 22 and 23, showcases the latest and greatest in product and services, tents, campers, trailers, caravans, 4WDrives and accessories, plus a huge range of camping accessories.
You can enter a competition for the chance to win a $6500 4WD accessory prize donated by Active 4x4.
Greek Fest at Hope Estate

Hope Estate will host a Greek Fest on May 22.
Food vendors from the Darling Harbour Greek Festival of Sydney, including event sponsors Defi II and Big Fat Greek, will be attending to offer a wide range of lunch plates to enjoy.
The day will also feature demonstrations, a kids zone, boutique markets, and a range of Hope Brewery beers.
