Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, Maitland Taste is set to tantalise the tastebuds on Saturday and Sunday with a mouthwatering lineup.
Visitors to Maitland Taste will have the opportunity to experience fresh food, coffee, wine and desserts at the popular annual event held at The Levee.
With a diverse program including live entertainment, kids activities, a fresh food precinct and two stage programs, there will be something on offer for the whole family to enjoy.
Acclaimed chef Cory Campbell who grew up in the Hunter will feature on the Kitchen Stage alongside local top chef Bryce Reynolds of COQUUN and Connie Griffiths of Tranquil Vale.
Mr Campbell worked at Matt Moran’s award winning Barangaroo House in Sydney, Vue de Monde in Melbourne and the two Michelin star Noma in Copenhagen.
"I’ll be showing simple techniques that you can use at home,” he said.
“It’s taking a cooking technique to make your own. There’s an individuality about it.”
This year’s Garden Stage MC is Director of Garden to Table Permaculture, Megan Cooke.
With a wealth of experience in horticulture, permaculture and outdoor education, Ms Cooke will be sharing tips for growing food at home on a shoestring budget whether you have a balcony garden, suburban block or acres.
Last year, the festival attracted over 12,000 people into the Maitland CBD.
Maitland City Council events officer Beth Anastasiou said the festival was shaping up nicely with organisers expecting the same crowd numbers for this year.
"Taste Festival is one of our favourite events, and it's something the community always support," she said.
"We are always looking to add new things to diversify the program. We are really excited to have Cory, and he will be curing fish and roasting chicken.
"There will be a lot of exciting topics that will be discussed including an opportunity for the audience to participate in a panel discussion.
"There's lots of excitement building for the weekend."
New to the Maitland Taste line up in 2019 is the Wellness Space, where Harry’s Yoga Studio will be showcasing healthy lifestyle choices and conducting talks on yoga, meditation, diet and sound healing.
Hunter Valley Amateur Beekeepers Association will also be there for the first time, with beekeepers offering a variety of talks over the weekend.
Maitland Taste is on from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday at The Levee.
