Loveys Grocers IGA, which will be constructed in the Wallis Creek Estate development, applied for the license to Liquor and Gaming NSW earlier this month.
The liquor department will only be be able to be accessed within the supermarket, and only open for trade during those hours the retail centre is trading.
The proposed hours will be Monday to Saturday from 9am to 10pm, and 10am to 10pm on Sunday.
According to the application, the supermarket will be located in a new commercial and retail development being constructed in the estate, which when completed will include "400 homes and houses and over 1000 residents".
"It is expected that the majority of the customers of the liquor department will be customers of the supermarket, who will have the substantial convenience of being able to purchase liquor when purchasing their grocery needs, without having to make the special trip elsewhere to do so," the application read.
"The directors of the proposed operator presently operates other IGA Supermarkets the subject of a packaged liquor license, and have a proven track record of operating packaged liquor departments within a supermarket responsibly and in accordance with all the requirements."
The supermarket will also install a CCTV system to monitor activity throughout the premises. Community members have 30 days to give feedback on the application.
